Does animation really help in simulation modelling ?

     This is the most common question that arises while talking about animation and simulation as both are quite opposite terms . animation is mostly used in movies .simulation and animations studies methods and algorithms for the computation used in producing images intended to create the perception of motion . an increased credibility with model users and management , and an increase in their appreciation of the value of the simulation . animation is a productivity tool which speeds the process of location and removing error in the model . while correct functioning of an animation does not imply the complete verification of the underlying model , many of the errors in the model will signal their presence by grossly inappropriate behavior of an animation . animation does not eliminate the need for manual checking of calculation or for statistical verification method , but it does serve as an important productivity tool augmenting these methods .

What is simulation ?

Simulation is a representation of real life scenery such as u have museum virtual tool . it is a real place that you can visualize without having to be at the destination to see what it looks like . in theory, any real life event that can be reduced into a mathematical data or equation can be simulated using advanced computer .

Simulations are mathematical models which attempt to apply and follow Newton's laws of Motion. Simulations can be used as the basis for an Animation meaning the mathematically simulated motion can be used in an animation to move the objects.

What is animation ?

Animation is a simulation of movement created by displaying a series of images , or using frames to create a moving picture .these are several variations of animation such as flip book ,motion picture film and you have animated GIF's .

As in use of animation is to understand a complex layout or a structure made by simulation rather than using 2D models which is really hard to understand u can use animation to completely replicate the given machine layout .

What is animation simulation ?

So simulation and animation studies methodology and algorithms for the computation used in producing image intended to create the perception of motion . the emphasis on the technique that proceeds 3D graphics data. An objects position and orientation are obvious candidates for animation , but following things can be animated as well :- 

1. An objects shape 

2. Its shading parameter 

3. Its texture coordinates 

4. The light source parameters 

5. Camera parameters 

Simulation is used for scientific modeling in order to acquire and get information on how they function . and while animation is the method of creating an illusion by any movement by using rapid display image of 3D and 2D artworks . the effect of this become an optical motion or illusion beause of persistence vision. the most common technique in presenting animation is through a video . Animation can be performed on simulation .These two plays an important role in various industries making them good representation and their existence prove how technology has advanced .

How animation is worked on simulations ?

Animation is used in simulation to create simulation games like driving simulators and the sims . they are also used when it comes to creating training simulations / real life simulations like flight simulations which are mostly used to train pilots. 

It is also used in simulations by creating the movement of characters or non payable characters . it is also used to create to weather effect like the wind blowing trees .

Advantages 

• Using interactive animations improve the skills of students as well as teachers. It engages the students in the entire learning process. It helps their imagination and learn concepts with ease. Instructors can use a different method of teaching to the traditional classroom lecture. Emphasis is on learning is less time and effort.
• Interactive animation holds the audience's attention. The use of audio, graphics, and video interactive animation makes it interesting, engaging.
• Real-life experiments hazardous in nature can be sorted using animation. It provides flexibility and safety in re-attempting the experiment.
• Computer animation is made for a flexible interactive way of learning. This builds interest in students wanting to learn more and motivates them. Animation allows one to assess their skills and abilities and attempt risk-free experiments in a safe environment.
• It helps build practical skills. Animation provides real to life scenarios faced in daily life during learning. This learning uses methods of learning by viewing, doing and coaching.  This helps in practical skill development and better knowledge retention.
• Animation adds fun to learning and motivates one to look for more information to learn.

Disadvantages 

• Animation requires a lot of effort and time to create. It works well from a technical perspective. But educators may find it difficult to place it in their curriculum. 
• It cannot judge the level of every student in a class. It becomes difficult to adapt to individual IQ levels. It becomes easy for teachers to handle it with some technical knowledge know-how. It might not fit in well for all.
• The animation technology is created to interact with the students. It cannot recognize the creative factor in the batch of students. Some might be able to use it while others may not.
• Animation technology uses more storage and memory space. It uses more bandwidth and requires high speed and uninterrupted internet connection.

Uses of Animation in Simulation

Computer animation is an emerging validation technique which has become increasingly popular with the proliferation of high quality low cost animation software . some used of animation simulation in real life are as follows :- 

1. Animation is widely used in the medical industry these days . these allows professinals and medical students to visualize the details of the human anatomy with clarity . the use of animation in medical field is increasing over the years .  you can view the details of anatomy through medical animation , As a result , hospitals and other healthcare institutions have realized the benefits of 3d medical animation . 

2. Animation is also used in education . Everybody understands that human have a tendency to remember videos and images more than textual content . so it is natural that animation for educational purpose can be effectively utilized to enhance the reception levels of students. 

3. Animation is also used in marketing . As Animation brings lots of creativity to your marketing which helps you to reach more demographics . An animation 3D demonstrations of your products benefits instantly and it may be more effective conversion . 

4. Animation is also used in science visualization . As it is extensively used to create accurate and represents scientific visualization for the purpose of research and analytical studies . It can be effectively used to represent diagrams . 

Conclusion :-

So now, we can conclude that use of animation in simulation modeling is the only effective way for explaining the diagrams of simulation in 3D format . as well as thier are many uses of animation which is helpfull for production and marketing industry .

Many objectives of the teaching/learning process could be easily achieved with properly use of well prepared animations and simulations. Animations and simulations are irreplaceable didactic tool when we are talking about promotion of higher level of interactivity in the educational process of any form, whether traditional or distance.
